Abstract

Covid-19 has been going on for more than 2 (two) years in Indonesia. Panic continues to provide a very big change in people's lives. Not only personal panic but this panic also occurs in the economy which is commonly known as panic buying. There are 2 (two) forms that encourage the practice of panic buying. First, worry that if you don't shop now, the next day the price of shopping goods will go up. Second, worry that if you don't shop now, the next day shopping goods will become scarce from circulation (Chadiza Syafina, 2020). This paper departs from a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The approach describes an existing phenomenon by describing the data in words and pictures. This article attempts to provide information about the actions or steps taken by the government in this case the Department of Trade and Industry in overcoming panic buying that occurs in the community.
